May 25 - Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Funding - Rollback [From SalemWatch]
Each year when we fill out our Oregon taxes, we have the opportunity to donate a portion of our return to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for the non-game division, who, unlike other departments is not funded through hunting and fishing fees.
Each year when we fill out our Oregon taxes, we have the opportunity to donate a portion of our return to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for the non-game division, who, unlike other departments is not funded through hunting and fishing fees. SB 859 would expand the number of tax check off beneficiaries and would rotate those entities each year, greatly decreasing the revenue ODFW will realize from generous taxpayers. Today there was a hearing in the House Revenue Committee where the -4 amendments were considered that would eliminate the problems with this bill by exempting the non-game division from the rotation. A work session is scheduled in House Revenue on Wednesday, May 30, 1pm in HR A.
