The word in the capitol is that lawmakers are working overtime to adjourn the 2007 legislative session before June 25. This means we have a little over a week to pass a number of good bills that are still in play, and to stop some of the serious rollbacks that unfortunately are also in play.
The legislature has moved to a 24 hour notice for public hearings and a 1 hour notice for work sessions. The pace is frantic and the status of bills is changing by the minute.
Any help you can give over the next 10 days could make the difference on a number of these bills. Please take 5 minutes to respond to alerts as they arrive in your email, and help make 2007 the year for Oregon’s environment!
