A few weeks ago we deemed SB 235 a rollback if the current –A amendments are not part of the passed bill. The –A amendments put some "teeth" into the bill, to make sure all Oregon producers of air pollution comply with the Clean Air Act.


A few weeks ago we deemed SB 235 a rollback if the current –A amendments are not part of the passed bill.  The –A amendments put some "teeth" into the bill, to make sure all Oregon producers of air pollution comply with the Clean Air Act.  Right now the groups working on this bill are meeting with the Governor’s office and legislative leaders, and we are hopeful that we will pass a bill that doesn’t tie DEQ’s hands from regulating large factory farm operations and the air pollution they produce.
