Salem: The bill that will make Oregon a leader in recycling unwanted electronics, HB 2626, sailed through the Senate today with a unanimous vote in favor of the bill, reflecting the unanimous support from the House. HB 2626 has already been referred to as the “feel good environmental legislation of the year,” a moniker that shouldn’t belittle the importance of this legislation.

Salem: On Friday, the Senate concurred with the House to pass SB 838, the Oregon Renewable Energy Act. The bill now moves to the Governor’s office, where Governor Kulongoski is expected to sign it into law.
